Today, I am finally going to share some of my impressions about our trip to Argentina. I know it was our first stop, but I was afraid I would forget all the other places in Bolivia and Peru, as we stayed there longer, so I wrote these posts first (logic?!). Unfortunately, we only had 4 days in Buenos Aires and half a day in Salta, which is not enough time to say too much about the entire country. However, Buenos Aires was a great city to start in and I do think it was a good way to ease into our South America adventure. So, here we go…

There are always second chances – so luckily the second try to discover Cusco for us. Back from our Machu Picchu trip, we had two more days until the entire trip was over. So, we wanted to make the best out of it. We woke up around 9 am and got ready to explore. Cusco is such a lovely little town, although a little too touristy, as most of the people get here sooner or later to go to Machu Picchu. It’s a charming city, with little streets, surrounded by mountains.

So, I finally found the time to sit down and write about the second part of my trip through Bolivia – so many impressions, memories and experiences that I find it hard to decide what to share without writing an entire novel about it or bore everyone to death. So here we go, part II…

Bolivia Part I

Oh, Bolivia, you’ve been too good to us! Despite the fact that our entire trip through South America was special, I would have to say that Bolivia is the country that really stole my heart. I can’t even pinpoint what I liked the most, it was just the overall feel that the people, cities and the landscape reflected. And even though it was freezing cold at night (up to -10 degree) and we had to sleep without heating or electricity for the first couple of days – it was definitely worth it.

South America 2016

bolivia

I just got back from my trip to South America and I still can’t believe it’s over. Once you start working, you try to use your time abroad even more efficiently and that is why we tried to take it all in, use time wisely and remember all the good times when having to go back to work (which is basically now – a dream).
